This week Moving Mountains Design staged this super 3 bedroom/2 bathroom Valley Village California Cottage.
The home owners did a great job of upgrading the kitchen and bathrooms. The house was completely repainted and the hardwood floors refinished.
There are a lot of homes for sale in this neighborhood, but staging by Moving Mountains Design will really make this home stand out from the pack.
While we were staging, the homeowner (wife) kept walking around the house saying “I can’t believe this is our old house. It looks so different, so lovely. I’m not sure I’d have moved if I thought the house could look this good.” (We hear that a lot!) Once this house sells, which I expect will be quickly, we’ll be helping her with the furnishings and accessories for her new home.

I love the mirror I used over the fireplace mantle. I included this photo to show that you don’t need to have a huge picture or mirror over the fireplace to balance it. Sometimes smaller artwork or accessories are just as effective because they have “presence”.
